These terms apply to every quote, order and sale made by SOVU, whether you order online, by phone or by email. Please read them before you order. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
1. About us
In these terms, “SOVU”, “we” and “us” mean Sovu Aluminium Doors, of Wynfield, Granny Lane, Lower Hopton, WF14 8LA. Contact us on 07816 765337 or at sales@sovu.co.uk.
2. Supply only
We supply windows, doors, roof glazing and related products. We do not install them. Installation is your responsibility and should be carried out by a competent installer, following our installation guides and current Building Regulations.
3. Quotes and prices
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Prices include VAT for consumers unless shown otherwise. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you order.
- Prices produced by the online designer are based on the details you enter. We check every design before manufacture and will tell you if anything needs to change, including the price, before we go ahead.
- If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before accepting your order.
4. Your order
- A contract is formed when we confirm your order in writing and receive any payment due.
- Before we manufacture, we will send you an order confirmation with the sizes, specification and colours. Please check it carefully. You are responsible for its accuracy once you have approved it.
- Measurements are your responsibility. Please use our measuring guides, or ask your installer to measure. We cannot accept returns for products made to the sizes you gave us.
5. Payment
Payment is due in full when you place your order, before manufacture begins, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.
6. Lead times and delivery
- Lead times are estimates and start from the date we confirm your order and receive payment. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
- We deliver to mainland UK. Delivery is kerbside, to an accessible ground-floor location. Please make sure someone aged 18 or over is there to receive the delivery and that there is safe access for a delivery vehicle.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
- Please inspect everything on delivery. Note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork and tell us within 48 hours, with photos. Hidden defects should be reported as soon as you find them.
7. Cancellations and returns
Made-to-measure products
Almost all of our products are made to your specification. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day cancellation period does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Once manufacture has started, an order for made-to-measure goods cannot be cancelled. If you ask to cancel before manufacture starts, we will refund you, less any costs we have already incurred.
Standard stock items
If you are a consumer buying standard stock items online, by phone or by email, you can cancel within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Tell us in writing, then return the items unused and in their original packaging within a further 14 days. You pay the cost of return unless the item is faulty. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
8. Faulty goods and guarantees
If anything we supply is faulty, please contact us straight away. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. In addition, our products carry the manufacturer’s guarantees, which typically include:
- 10 years on factory-applied powder coating on aluminium products.
- 12 months on hardware such as handles, locks and hinges.
- Product-specific guarantees as stated on the relevant product page or data sheet, for example 10 years on composite doors.
Guarantees do not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accident, lack of maintenance, or alterations to the product. Please follow our maintenance guides to keep your guarantee valid.
9. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for installation costs, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. If you are buying as a business, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned.
10. Using our website
- We try to keep product information, images and prices accurate, but small differences in colour and finish can occur between screens and real products.
- All content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or our partners and may not be copied without permission.
- We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.
11. Complaints

12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
